About the Role:
We are seeking a Property and Evidence Specialist to join our team at Clear Creek County, Colorado. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain the integrity of all property and evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, store, release, and maintain security of evidence and property for safekeeping
- Safeguard and preserve the integrity of all evidence and chain of custody by state laws, county ordinances, and sheriff's office policies and procedures
- May assist in collecting and preserving evidence at crime scenes in support of investigating detectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- IAPE certification within the first year of employment
- CAPET training within the first year of employment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
