Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic construction company, which encompasses several entities/divisions. This role will manage high-volume accounting operations and report directly to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting functions across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Consolidated Reporting: Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements for multiple divisions, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process for various construction projects, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure integrity of financial records.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including timely tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience managing multi-entity accounting operations with high transaction volume.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with Jonas Premier and Smartui is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
