What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Porter position at Cleanly?
Cleanly is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team at a modern residential complex. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping common areas spotless, enjoys working independently, and brings a proactive attitude to every shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, walkways, courtyards, and pool decks
- Clean and maintain shared amenity spaces such as pet spas, fitness rooms, lounges, restrooms, and community areas
- Remove trash and debris from all public spaces and dispose of waste properly
- Monitor, tidy, and maintain trash and dumpster areas, including breaking down cardboard and keeping areas organized
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, or blow entryways, corridors, sidewalks, and garage entrances as needed
- Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces including doors, railings, mail areas, and common-area furniture (tables, benches, seating)
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance of building entrances, resident pathways, and shared spaces throughout the property
- Restock supplies in common areas when applicable (trash liners, paper products, pet spa items, etc.)
- Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards promptly to the site manager
- Perform light support tasks as requested by management (assisting with deliveries, resetting furniture, event setup, etc.)
Ideal Candidate:
- Has prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter work
- Is dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Communicates clearly and professionally with residents and management
- Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, residential setting with high expectations
