What You’ll Do
As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as the technical expert responsible for keeping customer equipment running reliably.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair apparel dispensing machines at customer sites
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, software updates, and network verification
- Provide remote technical support when appropriate
- Travel within a 5-hour radius of your home base to service customer equipment
- Coordinate service visits with the Field Service Coordinator and customer locations
- Install new machines, including:
- Equipment unloading
- Machine reassembly
- Network setup and verification
- Final system testing
- Provide hands-on operational training to customer staff
- Document all work performed using Salesforce, MaintainX, and Outlook
- Submit service reports and travel expenses promptly
- Be available for rare after-hours emergency service calls
- Travel 3–4 weeks per month within the territory
- About 50% of service trips do not require overnight travel
- Some installations may require multi-day trips (infrequent)
We are looking for technicians who bring real-world experience and strong diagnostic ability.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with equipment, machinery, vending systems, automation, or similar service equipment
- Basic understanding of network connectivity, computer operating systems, and software updates
- Ability to identify issues quickly and resolve them efficiently
- Strong customer communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in varied customer environments
- Reliable and accountable for service quality
- High School Diploma required
- Technical degree, vocational training, or military technical training preferred
- 2 years of field service, maintenance, or equipment repair experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the territory
This is a hands-on technical role that may require:
- Standing for extended periods
- Kneeling, squatting, climbing, and bending
- Lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Working in active operational environments
