We are looking for individuals who already understand the responsibilities of operating a professional cleaning business and can work independently while maintaining our high standards.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating your own cleaning business.
• Must currently work as an independent cleaning professional or business owner.
• Must have valid house cleaning business insurance in their own name.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a smartphone for scheduling and communication.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a background check if requested.
• Must provide professional references upon request.

Independent Contractor (1099) Position

This is not a W-2 employee position.

You will be hired as an Independent Contractor (1099) in accordance with Washington State and federal tax regulations. As an independent contractor:

• You are responsible for reporting and paying your own federal and state taxes.
• You are responsible for your own business expenses and insurance, applicable.
• No employee benefits, paid time off, unemployment benefits, or workers' compensation benefits are provided through this position.
• You will receive a Form 1099-NEC for tax reporting if you meet IRS reporting requirements.

Compensation

• $25.00 per hour during the first 30-day trial period.
• After successfully completing the trial period and meeting Clean Mead LLC's quality, reliability, and professionalism standards, compensation will increase to $30.00 per hour.

Pay increases are based on consistent performance, attendance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company standards. Advancement is not automatic.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface sanitation to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures efficiently across various surfaces and areas within clients’ homes.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing with care.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely to ensure effective results while adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or appliances during deep cleans or move-in/move-out services.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain organized schedules through effective time management to complete all assigned tasks promptly and thoroughly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential cleaning, housekeeping management, janitorial or custodial roles; hotel or commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, detergents, and proper handling procedures for safety and efficiency.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle outdoor work environments when necessary.
• Strong customer service skills with clear communication abilities for client interaction and feedback.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple client locations.
• Prior experience in outdoor work or residential housekeeping is advantageous but not required.
