Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and menu plans
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Assist with menu planning and preparation for catering events or special dietary needs
- Collaborate with the Dietary department team members to ensure timely meal service
- Adhere to portion control guidelines for all food items
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food preparation or related roles preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
