Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, Judicial Services Job Summary: The office of Judicial Services seeks a personable, innovative, and engaging adjunct instructor to deliver a range of court-ordered educational programs, including Defensive Driving, Behavioral Modification, and Family Parenting. Teaching assignments are determined by the Senior Program Coordinator and are based on program needs, instructor qualifications, and availability. Programs are delivered to a diverse, court-referred student population in both in-person and live Zoom modalities. Faculty members are expected to maintain current in compliance training, including compliance under Title IX “Responsible Employee” and, if applicable, Clery Act Campus Security Authority. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher Bilingual in English and Spanish Relevant teaching or training experience Excellent presentation skills Excellent communication skills Exceptional ability to engage participants with students in both traditional classroom settings and virtual environments Flexible availability to teach classes as needed and assigned, including weeknights and weekends Competency and or commitment to learn and use instructional technologies, used at CLC: Zoom, Canvas, Adobe Cloud, Microsoft 365, etc. Ability to work effectively and constructively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, language, gender identity, and ability backgrounds—including students, faculty, and staff—and to demonstrate cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in all interactions. Desired Qualifications: Prior experience in delivering defensive driving, family parenting, or other court mandated classes in the state of Illinois and prior teaching or training experience using Zoom or other online platforms.
