Position Title: Adjunct Instructor, Chemistry Job Summary: Teach one introductory and/or general chemistry courses offered at one of the three campuses at CLC. The courses must be taught in accordance with current program approved course descriptions, course outlines, textbooks, and syllabi. Prepare lecture and lesson plans, teach lecture and/or lab portion of class, and respond to and grade student work. Use appropriate academic software (e.g. Canvas Learning Management system, Power Point, etc.) Job Description: Teach lecture portion of Chemistry courses. Teach lab portion of Chemistry courses. Observe lab safety and liability limitation protocols. Prepare for classes and grade student work. Required Qualifications Required Qualifications for CHM 120, 121, 123, 140, and 142: Master’s Degree in Chemistry or related field; OR Master’s in another discipline AND eighteen (18) graduate credits in Chemistry. Required Qualifications for CHM 125, 222, 223: Master’s Degree in Chemistry or related field; OR Master’s in another discipline AND eighteen (18) graduate credits in Chemistry, including Organic Chemistry. Desired Qualifications Previous college teaching experience.
