Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Support clients in developing life skills and promoting independence through personalized coaching and behavioral strategies
• Provide transportation assistance using standard passenger cars for appointments, community outings, or errands
• Implement behavior management plans tailored to individual needs to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Collect and document data related to client progress, behavioral incidents, and service outcomes accurately and consistently
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Support clients with communication needs, including the use of American Sign Language or other augmentative communication methods when applicable

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders
• Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly
• Familiarity with home & community care practices and supporting patients with cognitive disabilities
• Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal transportation assistance as needed
• Certification in First Aid and CPR; additional training in behavior management or caregiving is a plus

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
