Financial Analyst III

The Financial Analyst III plays a critical role in driving financial insight and strategic decision-making for Clayton Retail. This position focuses on forecasting, budgeting, scenario modeling, and performance analytics to support profitable growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling skills with business acumen and advanced data visualization capabilities. This role partners closely with retail leadership, operations, and corporate finance to deliver actionable insights and support enterprise initiatives such as ERP modernization and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate projects such as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, and inventory turnover.
• Analyze past and current financial performance data as well as provide analysis for forward-looking projects.
• Prepare and consolidate annual budgets in Oracle.
• Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
• Recommend strategies for increasing financial and operational performance.
• Develop thorough understanding of performance metrics and KPIs
• Complete market research and comparable industry analysis.
• Work effectively with business partners and subject matter experts in a collaborative manner, building constructive and effective relationships.
• Build and maintain reports using Oracle Reports, OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence), BI Publisher, and eventually Oracle Fusion Analytics.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of new recurring reports, ad-hoc reports, and dashboards utilizing Tableau and Excel.
• Produce and maintain data driven monitoring practices and tools.
• Standardize and automate processes to continuously improve efficiency and accuracy of reports.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
  
  

Compensation

$87,000 - $109,000 total comp

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related major is required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience required.
• Strong understanding of financial statements required.
• Strong communication, analytical, and reasoning skills required.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities required.
• Able to function in a fast-paced environment required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS preferred.
• Experience with Tableau preferred.
• Experience with Oracle reporting tools such as Oracle Reports, OTBI, BI Publisher, and/or Oracle Fusion Analytics preferred.
• Experience with EPM/EPCM tools a plus.
