IT Specialist

About the Role:

The IT Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and security of an organization's information technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems to support business objectives. The IT Specialist collaborates with various departments to implement technology solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency. They proactively monitor systems to prevent issues and respond promptly to technical problems to minimize downtime. Ultimately, this role ensures that all IT resources are optimized, secure, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must have at least two years related work experience.
• Proven experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with security protocols and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to maintain security.
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
• Implement and enforce IT policies and best practices to safeguard data integrity and security.
• Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects and system upgrades.
• The employee is provided a paging device and is required to be on call outside of working hours for emergency support requirements.
