Job Summary
As a Psychosocial Assessor, you will use high-risk screening criteria to conduct psychosocial assessments and then develop, implement, and coordinate appropriate admission and discharge plans. Your goal is to meet both hospital care goals and patient needs with the full participation of the patient and their family. You will provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, bereavement counseling, and trauma counseling, tailoring interventions to accommodate a patient's cultural, religious, and gender-specific needs. In this role, you'll act as a patient advocate, helping medical staff and families understand the social and emotional issues that impact the patient and their care plan. You will also maintain knowledge of DNV regulations, NYS DOH, OMH rules, and abuse/neglect reporting processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- PMCS Certification.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Proficient communication skills and the ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities.
- Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy in monitoring and documenting information.
- Ability to implement and support patient safety and security procedures.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of all patient information.
- Commitment to maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Ability to participate in patient crisis intervention and physically restrain combative residents.
- The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. - This rate does not include the $1.50 evening shift differential for hours worked between 3p-11p. Must work 3 hours to qualify.
