Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning agents safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Operate various cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools with precision.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies, equipment, or furniture while following manual handling safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas by disinfecting surfaces and replenishing supplies regularly.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleaning results.
Experience
- Prior cleaning, janitorial or custodial experience in residential, commercial or institutional settings is preferred; familiarity with environmental services is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed floor care including scrubbing and refinishing floors.
- Experience with carpet cleaning techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper handling procedures, and safety standards related to chemical agents.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy items or moving equipment as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer service-oriented mindset to ensure positive interactions with clients and team members.
