Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a pristine environment.
- Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain safety standards by understanding and following safety data sheets (SDS), hotel emergency procedures, and proper chemical handling protocols.
- Assist with public area cleaning, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces to uphold sanitation standards.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture or cleaning equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests courteously and professionally, enhancing their overall experience.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or industrial setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and cleaning equipment operation.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely following established protocols and SDS guidelines.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, vacuuming, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Strong commitment to hospitality standards with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management procedures is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
