Key Responsibilities
- Clean vacant and occupied guest rooms thoroughly and within established quality and productivity expectations.
- Make beds, replace linens and towels, clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, remove trash, and replenish guest supplies.
- Follow established housekeeping procedures, training checklists, sanitation requirements, and periodic deep-cleaning schedules.
- Properly handle and organize linens, supplies, chemicals, and housekeeping equipment.
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness and promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damages, or discrepancies.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or questions.
- Help maintain public areas, restrooms, stairwells, breakrooms, and back-of-house areas when assigned.
- Maintain guest privacy and follow all safety, security, key-control, and emergency procedures.
- Use required hotel systems and communication tools, such as Quore or Hotel Effectiveness.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance consistent with uniform and grooming standards.
- Perform other related duties within the associate’s training and capabilities.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel, hospital, residential, or care-facility environment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Dependable, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent guest service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow established procedures, and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to learn and use job-related technology and communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.
- With or without reasonable accommodation, the associate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel; lift or carry up to 30 pounds; and push or pull up to 60 pounds.
- This on-site position may require varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
