The RoleThe Inventory Analyst at Classic Tents & Events is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and availability of our entire rental inventory. This is a critical analytical role focused on maintaining precise controls over thousands of high-value assets. You will serve as the primary link between warehouse operations and the sales team, ensuring that every piece of equipment—from tents to tabletops—is accounted for, maintained, and ready for deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Control & Auditing: Manage and review equipment levels daily. Conduct regular cycle counts and work with the warehouse operations team to ensure a 100% accurate count of new and existing stock.
- Data Integrity: Utilize Point of Rental (or similar WMS) to adjust inventory based on field reports regarding damaged, destroyed, or missing equipment.
- Procurement Support: Create and receive new equipment purchase orders within the system. Identify shortages and make data-driven determinations for sub-rental needs to satisfy daily orders.
- Operational Support: Support the preparation of inventory to satisfy scheduled deliveries and pickups, ensuring the right gear is ready at the right time.
- Inter-Departmental Liaison: Communicate daily with field and sales managers to reconcile inventory discrepancies and provide status updates on equipment availability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience: Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain analysis.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking) and Outlook.
- Software Knowledge: Experience with Point of Rental or equivalent Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly preferred.
- Language: Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a significant plus.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 20–40 lbs consistently and up to 70 lbs occasionally to assist with physical audits.
