Classic Recreation is hiring a Blaster Operator to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Classic Recreation is a manufacturer of steel shade structures for parks and public spaces nationwide, with our production facility located in Dewey, AZ, in the eastern Prescott Valley metro area.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Blast steel parts to properly prepare surfaces for powder coating
- Load and maintain blasting media (shoveling/pouring abrasives into machine hoppers)
- Safely operate blasting equipment
- Inspect parts to ensure quality and proper surface preparation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist in other shop areas as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Blasting or industrial manufacturing experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Safety-oriented, dependable, and punctual
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Team player with a positive work ethic
- Must provide basic personal tools (e.g., tape measure)
- Pre-employment drug screening required
SCHEDULE
- Full-time
- Monday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (10-hour shifts)
