General Summary
Responsible for performing takeoffs of various materials & assisting sales support team with bidding residential & commercial jobs.
Essential Job Functions
- Import blueprints into estimating software to prepare takeoffs.
- Responsible for reviewing bid documents, examining plans and specifications.
- Responsible assisting sales staff with preparing bids while quantifying and qualifying all material quantities.
- Responsible for creating takeoffs plans by using estimating software. Must be familiar with reading and understanding blueprints.
- Some knowledge of flooring and tiling industry: carpet, hardwood, resilient and ceramic tile.
- General PC knowledge, Microsoft Excel a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, work with deadlines, and within a team environment to best achieve excellent and timely results
- Intermediate math skills.
- Detail- Oriented, ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer Experience in estimating or familiarity of estimating software.
- Prefer experience in the construction or building materials supply industry.
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
- Fundamental mathematic comprehension required.
- Ability to multi-task is required.
