What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian 9pm-1am position at Classic Building Services Ohio Inc.?
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Sweeping, mopping, waxing floors; vacuuming carpets; dusting/polishing furniture; cleaning windows, walls, mirrors, fixtures; maintaining restrooms and restocking supplies; sanitizing surfaces.
- Waste Management: Collecting and disposing of trash and recycling.
- Minor Maintenance: Changing light bulbs, ceiling tiles; minor furniture/fixture repairs; reporting larger issues.
- Building Operations: Opening/locking buildings; setting up/taking down furniture for events; monitoring for safety/security.
- Groundskeeping (As needed): Clearing sidewalks of snow/ice; watering plants; general exterior upkeep.
- Equipment & Supplies: Maintaining custodial equipment; tracking/requisitioning supplies; using chemicals safely (reading SDS).
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Physical Ability: Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling; ability to work with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Safety: Knowledge of safe chemical handling; awareness of surroundings; ability to respond to emergencies.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently or in a team; flexibility for varied hours/tasks; initiative.
- Basic Skills: Reading/following instructions (labels, SDS); basic math for solutions; good communication.
