Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Cleaner to join our team for weekend night shifts from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. You will be responsible for performing thorough cleaning tasks, handling cleaning equipment, and ensuring sanitation standards are met across the facility. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties throughout the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct manual handling of cleaning supplies and equipment, following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, restrooms, break areas, and other common spaces with attention to detail.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or hazards identified during cleaning routines.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and sanitation standards.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and understand chemical handling safety procedures.
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
