Job Summary

This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, retail sales, and food safety within a dynamic food service setting. Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work at least every-other Saturday (closed on Sunday).
Duties
- Packaging of bakery items.
- Slicing breads.
- Operate cash registers.
- Assist customers with selections, answer questions about bakery products, and promote upselling of specialty items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including food handling, sanitation practices, and proper storage of ingredients
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the bakery section is visually appealing and well-stocked throughout the shift
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
Experience
- Previous experience with food preparation and/or customer service is preferred
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in retail or food industry settings
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in grocery stores or retail environments involving serving and cashiering duties is beneficial
