Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism, creating a positive first impression.
- Answer multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, handling appointment referrals in and out of the office and assist with other calls as needed
- Obtain and verify correct insurance information, insurance authorizations and patient demographics for appointments
- Maintain patient data entry records and ensure accurate documentation through proofreading and meticulous attention to detail
- Manage appointment scheduling, checking patients in and out and basic bookkeeping tasks such as collecting and recording patient co-pays and balances
- Handle incoming correspondence, emails, and inquiries with excellent phone etiquette and customer support skills.
- Support office management tasks including supply inventory, coordinating mail distribution and performing clerical duties such as photocopying and scanning
- Provide excellent customer service support by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally in person or via phone or email
Skills
- Proven office experience or clerical background with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy. Will provide EHR system training on site
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and excellent phone etiquette essential for handling high-volume calls effectively
- Familiarity with office management tasks such as filing, proofreading and basic bookkeeping
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance
