Job Overview
We are seeking a night time Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are washed and sanitized to meet health and safety standards. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including prepping ingredients for cooks.
- Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, including food handling and preparation techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
