General Statement of Duties: This position is responsible for processing customer accounts, including posting payments, processing credits, researching discrepancies, and communicating with both customers and other internal personnel to help bolster the customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Creates credit memos as necessary, according to CRS practices.
Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts the Sales team and/or delinquent accountholders to request payment.
Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
Generates monthly billing statements for mailing.
Assists AR Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Education: High School or GED required
Experience: 1 year of prior experience handling various forms of payment preferred.

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements are within the general range of an office position. The job requires extensive wrist and hand movements for computer tasks, and a certain amount of stooping, bending, carrying, kneeling, walking, and moving bulky packages and boxes of heavy materials potentially weighing up to 50lbs. The job may require unusual or irregular work hours. All individuals are required to be able to perform these movements without significant risk of injury to themselves or others, or to otherwise demonstrate or explain how they can perform the essential functions of the job.
