How you’ll contribute
A Respiratory Therapist (RRT) who excels in this role:
Examines and treats patients with breathing-related conditions, performs diagnostic testing, and collaborates with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
Provides patient education on therapies and medication use; performs physiotherapy and related treatments.
- Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer; may perform bedside PFTs, EKGs, and tobacco-cessation education as ordered.
- Delivers ordered respiratory therapies; monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and response to treatment.
- Responds to codes and emergent calls; assesses patient condition and provides appropriate interventions.
- Evaluates and contributes to respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.
- Educates patients and families on illness, treatments, device use, and community resources.
- Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas and equipment readiness.
- Disassembles, cleans, sterilizes, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrates respiratory equipment.
- Performs all responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
- Participates in performance improvement and required education.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current registered respiratory license in KY. Additional requirements include:
Education: Bachelors degree in respiratory therapy required.
License: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in state of practice.
Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
