Dietary Aide

Position: Dietary Aide

Location: Mobile, AL

Pay: $14/hour

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Day Shift, 6:30am to 6:30pm (Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off)

Clark Personnel is seeking a Dietary Aide to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Prepare, cook, portion, and serve meals that meet patients’ specific dietary needs and nutritional guidelines
• Prepare beverages, wash and peel produce, and assemble patient meal trays
• Monitor and record patients’ food and fluid intake, and report changes to the dietitian or food service director
• Assist with mixing medications into food for patients who have difficulty swallowing, as directed
• Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and sanitary, including washing dishes, wiping surfaces, and damp mopping floors
• Store and handle food safely according to health and safety regulations
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
• Work closely with dietitians, chefs, managers and healthcare staff to meet each patient’s needs
• Help with ordering, stocking and managing food supplies, and keep accurate meal records
• Interact with patients, share dietary information and support wellness initiatives
• Help train new team members as needed
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Food Handler License or ServSafe certification
• Knowledge of nutrition and food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Friendly, customer-service mindset and a team-player attitude
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and keep up in a fast-paced environment
