Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic food service team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, offering recommendations when appropriate
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, Toast or OpenTable.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS or cashiering systems
- Engage with guests to foster positive relations and address any concerns or special requests
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or other duties as needed
- Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and cash handling
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Basic math skills for billing accuracy and cash handling
- Experience in food industry roles such as serving, bussing, host/hostess, or nightclub service is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment within a fast-paced setting
