The North American Aftermarket Parts Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the field sales team and support staff in growing overall parts sales, aftermarket parts program offerings, raising awareness of CLARK programs within dealerships and increasing overall CLARK parts penetration into the U.S. and Canadian markets.
The North American Aftermarket Parts Sales Manager must be knowledgeable in forklift aftermarket parts management, understand the forklift aftermarket parts business, be knowledgeable of the aftermarket parts forklift environment and can write and communicate parts programs concisely and clearly.
Essential Functions:
- Will be the key manager and relationship builder with our suppliers and vendors in all of North America.
- Will be responsible to assist in dealer training, achieve market/dealer specific CLARK parts commitments, work with select suppliers on CLARK programs,
- Will oversee the day to day activities of the CLARK Aftermarket Parts Regional Sales Managers team to ensure that parts sales support the approved profitability of CLARK parts in the business plan.
- Manage the Aftermarket Sales field & administrative sales team to maximize the sale of material handling parts and training within the territory.
- Manage the parts customer service team to ensure that the level of service exceeds our dealers’ expectations.
- Develop sales strategies and conduct sales meetings. Coordinate activities among other managers ensuring proper communication. Review and approve sales-related functions as required.
- Will be responsible to develop metrics that measures growth, and various aspects of the business.
- Work to increase customer satisfaction and retention. Maintain direct contact with current and prospective customers.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to develop continuity of the Parts product messaging.
- Will oversee the marketing content of all aftermarket parts collateral and materials.
- Will be a key strategic business partner within all business activities to provide industry knowledge and experience that guides our success and accomplishment of business goals and new initiatives.
- Recruit, select, train, develop, and counsel direct reports.
- Will be responsible to evaluate and prioritize which programs are working and those that need adjustment
- Will be responsible to create spreadsheets/monitoring tools to identify which dealerships are achieving success against plan and those that are not
- Create new, creative and innovative aftermarket parts programs that provide for incremental sales opportunities for CLARK and its authorized dealers
- Provide various reports as needed including dealership goals versus performance, program success rates, margin analysis, etc.
- Position requires 30% travel to dealers and suppliers in the U.S. and Canada
- Prepare and present sales meeting content as needed
- This position will be a key Sr. level contributor and participant of the Team 1 staff.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the forklift aftermarket parts business with an OEM or appropriate dealership
- BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or Economics or equivalent experience
- Must have product knowledge (CLARK and competitor) in aftermarket parts and general sales and market knowledge of the forklift and material handling market
- Must be able to establish and maintain dealer account confidence
- Must be able to professionally manage the day to day activities and results of the field sales team
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office products specifically excel
- Position will reside in Flower Mound, TX
- Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely without sponsorship
- Must possess a strong work ethic, dedication, and be self-motivated to learn.
- Ability to work within strict deadlines.
- Must be a problem solver who is capable of working with confidential information.
- Must be able to work on many different projects at one time.
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in English
