The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and managing the scheduling of drivers, vehicles, or personnel, ensuring timely and efficient dispatching. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a calm demeanor under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls, emails, or service requests
- Schedule and dispatch vehicles, drivers, or field personnel
- Monitor and track the status and location of dispatched units in real time
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of activities and communications
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely service delivery
- Handle emergency and high-priority situations efficiently and calmly
- Provide updates and instructions to field staff throughout their shifts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (required); associate degree a plus
- Prior experience in dispatching or customer service preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends if needed
