Job Description
Property Accountant
Job Summary: Prepares monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements/reporting
packages, and performs a wide variety of accounting analysis.
Responsibilities:
Performs a wide variety of accounting functions including:
Prepare month-end closing and quarterly financial statements. Prepare journal entries and maintain workpapers
Analyze and explain significant budget variances
Prepare annual budgets and reforecasts
Prepare CAM and Real Estate Tax reconciliations
Prepare Workpapers and other information for auditors
Analyze available cash position of real estate projects
Assist management with special projects
Analyze closing/financing documents to identify applicable accounting treatment
for the transactions
Qualifications
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities and meet
deadlines.
Bachelor Degree in Accounting and two to three years of experience which includes all aspects
of accounting for commercial real estate office buildings (not residential but
retail will be considered)
Or Bachelor Degree and five years of general accounting experience that includes
monthly closes and journal entry preparation, as well as full accounting
responsibilities for a business unit within a small to mid-sized firm
Additional Information
$60K-65K Range Bonus
