The Payroll Specialist will manage multi-state payroll processing and support day-to-day HR/payroll administration. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now (WFN), maintaining payroll records, supporting compliance efforts, and assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, timekeeping data, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and tax withholdings
  • Review and reconcile employee timecards, attendance, overtime, and shift differentials
  • Partner with supervisors and operations leadership to resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations
  • Administer payroll-related changes including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and benefit deductions
  • Support year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and payroll audits
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with labor reporting and analytics for manufacturing operations
  • Respond to employee payroll questions and provide excellent internal customer service
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork, HR recordkeeping, and employee file maintenance
  • Support benefits administration, leave tracking, and other HR/payroll projects as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information

Qualifications

  • 5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) required
  • Experience processing payroll for hourly employees, including overtime and shift schedules
  • Understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS/payroll systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Multi-state payroll processing
  • Experience supporting HR administration functions
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and manufacturing workforce environments
