The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will oversee site-wide health, safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for driving compliance, promoting a proactive safety culture, and partnering cross-functionally to support operational excellence across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all site environmental, health, and safety programs and initiatives.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety through employee engagement, coaching, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify and reduce potential hazards.
- Oversee safety training programs and ensure employees and contractors are properly trained and compliant.
- Track and maintain EHS metrics, reports, corrective actions, permits, and documentation.
- Support sustainability and waste reduction initiatives across the operation.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and leadership teams to improve site performance and reduce risk.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of environmental and safety management systems.
- Lead continuous improvement activities related to safety performance and operational compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 12 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing EHS programs and teams.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and general environmental compliance standards.
- Experience developing and delivering employee safety training programs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting ISO-based management systems.
- Exposure to process safety, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background in highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
