Purpose of Position:
The Rehabilitation Supervisor supervises mentally and/or physically handicapped adults in facility and
community based settings.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
A high school diploma or its equivalent and two years of vocational school or specialized certifications is required.
Previous experience working with individuals with physical, emotional, and/or social disabilities is also required.
Individuals are required to hold a valid CDL license at the time of hire or obtain one within six (6) months of
employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Directly supervise mentally and/or physically handicapped individuals and act as a working supervisor in all
areas of the department
Instruct/train clients by demonstrating and/or explaining duties and procedures
Setup workstations and/or provide adaptive measures for clients
Coordinate/stage raw materials for projects
Perform work inspections for quality and completeness
Provide personal care such as feeding, lifting, and toileting as needed
Provide job coaching and appropriate documentation/feedback
Accurately maintain work related performance documentation of clients
Daily product deliveries to program customers
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
Adaptive to varying work environment.
Ability to supervise disabled clients.
Accuracy of maintaining work related documents.
Ability to safely use tools/equipment associated with all work programs such as lawn mowers, woodworking
saws, pneumatic nail/staple tools, commercial cooking stoves, meat slicers, etc.
Ability to demonstrate work procedures.
Knowledge of safe work practices.
Ability to interact with customers at point of product delivery in a sociable manner that demonstrates the
appropriate use of tact.
Ability to act as an information conduit between customer and department management.
