This role helps write that story.

You'll join a small marketing team that does a bit of everything. One week you're building a proposal and pulling together prebond packages. The next you're helping a project team get ready for an interview, planning a groundbreaking, posting a job site update, or refreshing a page on our website. If you like variety and want to learn how construction work actually gets won, this is a good seat.

This role is based out of our Detroit Office and supports the marketing efforts across Southeast Michigan. Ideal candidates may live in or near Detroit, Dearborn, Ann Arbor, Troy, Novi, Ferndale, or other surrounding areas.

What you'll do

• Coordinate proposals, qualifications packages, and prebond campaigns from kickoff to delivery, working with project executives, preconstruction, and business development.
• Design proposals and presentations in InDesign that look and read like Clark.
• Help project teams prepare for interviews, including slides, boards, handouts, and rehearsals.
• Turn project data into charts and graphics a busy owner can understand in seconds.
• Keep resumes, project data, contact information, and project lists current in our CRM.
• Maintain the boilerplate and reusable content our team relies on.
• Create social media content and help keep our website current.
• Plan and support events, from groundbreakings and dedications to the company picnic, annual meeting, and holiday party.
• Coordinate trade show materials, promotional items, and mailings.
• Handle confidential pursuit and company information with discretion.

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience in marketing, graphic design, content development, or communications.
• Strong skills in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, plus Microsoft Office.
• Experience with a CRM system.
• Writing that's clear and engaging. You'd rather say something true and specific than something that sounds impressive with no substance.
• Organization that holds up when three deadlines land in the same week.
• A habit of checking your work twice, because a typo on page 40 still matters.

Nice to have

• Proposal or business development experience.
• Experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or professional services.
• Social media or website content experience.
