Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Accounts Manager to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in organizing, maintaining, and improving our accounting department while ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Construction industry experience is strongly preferred, as this position requires familiarity with construction accounting, job costing, and project-related financial management.
Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Process vendor invoices and customer billing
- Prepare and manage AIA billing and progress billing
- Perform job costing and monitor project-related expenses
- Process and track lien waivers and subcontractor documentation
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts
- Organize and clean up existing accounting records and workflows
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Create and process invoices while ensuring timely collections
- Work closely with management to improve accounting procedures and efficiency
- Maintain organized electronic records and accounting documentation
- Communicate professionally with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and internal team members
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
Qualifications
- Construction accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience with job costing, AIA billing, lien waivers, and subcontractor documentation
- 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
- Professional communication skills and a positive attitude
We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and efficient accounting department. Candidates with prior construction accounting experience will be given strong preference.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
