SUMMARY:
We’re seeking a bright, energetic, and proactive Research Associate who is a personable
communicator, go-getter, and all-around problem solver. The Research Associate is an essential
member of the team who drives the strategic development and execution of candidate research,
outreach, and assessment
The Research Associate will support the search lead in all aspects of the full cycle search process, including identifying prospective candidates, industry mapping, cold/vetting calls, document creation, and general search management. This role will also support the firm’s overall business development by compiling comprehensive information about current clients and new business targets by gathering internal and external resources and actively updating the company database.
The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years’ experience – whether in research, recruiting,
communications, or another fast-paced, professional services environment – and is eager to learn, problem-solve, and bring fresh thinking to our work. This individual is someone who blends strategic research capabilities with strong analytical thinking, excellent written output, and a keen interest in emerging tools and technologies, including AI. The Research Associate will be central to driving search strategy, delivering smart and visually compelling client materials, and shaping how we approach talent mapping and market insights.
REPORTS TO: Head of Operations or Client Partner
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Lead candidate sourcing and industry mapping efforts, leveraging LinkedIn, internal
databases, and online resources to build high-quality pipelines for active searches.
● Support the full cycle search process, including cold/vetting calls, candidate tracking,
document creation, and general search management.
● Create polished, insight-driven deliverables such as competitive landscape assessments and
market maps.
● Create position descriptions based on existing client position descriptions or from scratch,
tailoring each to a client’s specific needs.
● Draft and deliver polished and timely updates to the client on search progress; support the
firm in tailoring and modernizing client facing templates and update materials.
● Identify and test emerging research tools and platforms to improve workflows and increase
efficiency across the team.
● Collaborate closely with senior partners to identify trends, synthesize candidate insights, and
shape search strategy.
● Track candidates’ status throughout the search’s life; regularly communicate to and
correspond with candidates ensuring that they are kept up to date on all stages of a search.
● Contribute to larger firm culture and development by providing insights from active searches,
candidate conversations, and overall market insights gained through a search process.
● Stay up to date on industry trends and business news; take lead in reporting key trends and
talent movements to the team.
● Support business development on an as needed basis, completing projects such as
compensation research, target company mapping, and target candidate profiles.
● Maintain accurate and up to date information on each search and every candidate in our
database.
REQUIREMENTS:
● Bachelor’s degree, and 2-3 years professional experience in research, recruiting,
communications, consulting, or related fields.
● Technically confident – adept or interested in learning and understanding AI tools and helping
improve internal research workflow and resources.
● Superb organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Experience dealing with competing deadlines; ability to multitask and handle shifting
priorities.
● Poised and mature demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
● Energetic, personable, and hard-working with a sense of humor.
● Intellectually curious; motivated to learn about new industries, companies, and business
needs.
● Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
● Personable and professional; able to communicate confidently and with discretion with senior
executives and candidates.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
