What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Clarity Credit Union?
Clarity Credit Union is hiring for a full-time Human Resources Generalist that will assist with the human resource processes at all business locations. This role will assist with recruiting and onboarding, tracking and monitoring leave (FMLA, ADA, WC, etc.), processing payroll and maintaining all HR files in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment and interview process. Track status of candidates and respond with follow-up at the end of the recruiting process. Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Director. Launch the onboarding process for new hires and conduct pre-employment screenings such as criminal background, credit investigations, drug testing, and pre-employment testing. Assist with new employee orientation preparing new employee files.
- Maintains human resources reports such as status reports, compensation analysis reports, termination reports, etc. Update and maintain monthly DOL statistics report and year-end HR report.
- Process payroll and benefit deductions accurately along with reconciling paid time off accruals and benefit statements.
- Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions, creating communication posts, along with coordinating and ordering corporate collateral.
- Assists with preparation, tracking and monitoring of FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation, Short or Long-term Disability claims and COBRA. Acts as the backup liaison between organization and agencies.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with annual benefits enrollment for group health, dental, life insurance, short and long term disability, AFLAC, and cafeteria plan benefits.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Working understanding of human resources principles, practices and procedures. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Other Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
