THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY WITH THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME PERMANENT. WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FEW INDIVIDUALS TO ROTATE OVER NIGHT SHIFTS FOR 2-3 WEEKS.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safe patient care.
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote independence and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties in residents' living areas and common spaces.
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
- Engage in patient observation to identify potential health issues early and support overall patient monitoring efforts.
- Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages social engagement.
Skills
- Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures for patient safety
- Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs measurement, and patient monitoring techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Experience in cleaning duties necessary for maintaining hygienic living spaces in accordance with health standards.
- Compassionate attitude with patience for working with individuals experiencing developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs while maintaining a positive outlook on caregiving responsibilities
