Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various chemical agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and industry standards for chemical handling and sanitation
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain a spotless appearance
- Make beds, change linens, replenish amenities, and ensure all room supplies are stocked and organized
- Use janitorial equipment efficiently for tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and industrial cleaning operations
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols including safety procedures, emergency protocols, and sanitation standards
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles is preferred; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is a plus
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care products, and cleaning equipment operation
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while ensuring safety compliance with SDS guidelines
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety at all times
- Experience with industrial cleaning tools or custodial work is advantageous but not required; training will be provided if necessary
