Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Work Location: Spanish Fork, UT and surrounding area

Work Arrangement: On-Site and field-based

Employment Type: Full time

Schedule: Monday through Friday; daily hours vary based on active business demands. This is a variable full-time role up to 40 hours per week, with weekly hours fluctuating alongside seasonal business needs and project volume. This position also includes an on-call rotation which is generally once a weekday and one weekend a month, depending on current staffing. To meet shifting operational deadlines, occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work may be required.

Travel: Daily travel to residential/commercial job sites throughout the local branch’s service region.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install residential and light commercial HVAC and boiler systems (including multi-zone and hydronic equipment).
• Educate customers on their systems, set clear expectations, and provide top-tier service.
• Take ownership of individual revenue goals by identifying sales opportunities, providing accurate quotes for enhancements, and meeting performance benchmarks that drive company growth.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, explaining the long-term value of high-efficiency equipment versus ongoing repairs to help them make informed investment decisions.
• Provide equipment startups for residential and light commercial HVAC and boiler systems.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts, and installation teams.
• Coordinate with other service trades, contractors, clientele, and vendors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, stocked company truck and stay in sync with our dispatch and parts teams.
• Participate in morning meetings, trade shows, and retreats.
  
  

Position Requirements

• HVAC & Boiler Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, servicing, and installing residential and light commercial boiler systems (hydronic heating), alongside general HVAC systems.
• Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required. An EPA Universal or Type II Certification is highly preferred.
• Required Tools: Your own basic tools, gauges, and meters.
• Professional Qualities: Strong demonstration of integrity, dependability, and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
• Compliance: Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  
  

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• Ability to frequently climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces), and stand or kneel for long periods.
• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Capacity to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs independently and heavier equipment with assistance.
  
  

Compensation

• Base Pay Range: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience
• Range Basis: Within this range, an individual's starting pay is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, qualifications, professional experience, and internal equity across our organization.
• Other Compensation: Overtime eligibility and performance-based incentive bonuses. See benefits listed above.
• Overtime Classification: Hourly, non-exempt.
