Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time | Self-Contained Program
Location: Illinois | School-Based | 2025–2026 School Year
We’re hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a self-contained special education program serving those with low-incidence and profound disabilities. This full-time position focuses on helping students develop essential communication and language skills in a structured, supportive environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
- Support communication through AAC devices, visuals, and other assistive tools.
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and deliver evidence-based interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team planning.
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy for a caseload of 25–30 students.
Requirements
Must hold an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and an active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license. A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders is required, and while the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred, it is not mandatory.
