Position Title: Special Education Teacher – Elementary (Full-Time)
Location: Minnesota (School-Based Position)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | School Day Hours
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to join our elementary team. This is a full-time position focused on providing academic and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have strong instructional skills, a student-centered mindset, and a passion for fostering growth in both academic and functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct academic instruction in reading, writing, and math, using evidence-based strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress monitoring, service delivery, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and data review sessions to enhance instructional practices.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and district standards.
- Support students in building social-emotional and executive functioning skills that promote independence and classroom success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure continuity of support and inclusion within the classroom environment.
Requirements
- A valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License is required.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required; a master’s degree in Special Education is preferred.
