Job Overview:

Under the supervision of a Department of Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor or Manager, the Food Service Worker performs a wide variety of routine tasks, such as itemize total food/beverage orders and ring orders into the cash register.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic math skills
• Ability to run a cash register efficiently and handle cash properly

Preferred:

• Prior cashier experience

Scheduling Requirements

• Shift: Day
• Time: 7:00am—3:00pm
• Status: Per Diem (Flexible, scheduled to work based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions:

• Itemize total food/beverage orders and ring orders into the cash register
• Collects payment from customers and makes change, maintains the accuracy of the cash drawer.
• Reconciles cash receipts to sales to verify the accuracy of all transactions
• Maintain areas of the serving line.
