Core Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery: Teach local, state, national, and global historical events while aligning lessons with the Tennessee Academic Standards for Social Studies.
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement data-driven, engaging daily lesson plans that utilize primary sources, multimedia aids, and historical analysis.
- Student Assessment: Design and administer diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to measure mastery and prepare students for state-required assessments.
- Differentiated Learning: Modify instruction and provide targeted classroom interventions to support diverse learner populations, including English learners and students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Classroom Management: Maintain a structured, safe, positive, and inclusive classroom learning environment in accordance with school board policy.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent, proactive communication with parents, legal guardians, and administrators regarding student academic progress and behavioral development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in history, secondary education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
