As the Middle School Head Boys' Basketball Coach at Soldiers Memorial Middle School, you will play a pivotal role in guiding student-athletes in grades 5-8. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively teach fundamental basketball techniques while fostering an environment of sportsmanship and teamwork. A successful candidate will be proficient in using various coaching tools and software to track player performance, ensure adherence to the Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) academic eligibility requirements, and create practice schedules. Your ability to inspire and motivate young athletes, while balancing their academic responsibilities, will directly influence their success both on the court and in the classroom.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• In Tennessee public schools
• a Middle School Head Boys' Basketball Coach is responsible for leading all aspects of the boys' basketball program
• typically for grades 5-8. The role focuses on teaching fundamental skills
• fostering sportsmanship
