Senior Accountant

Summary:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial management and providing expert insights. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented accountant with a commitment to continuous learning and teamwork. Our ideal candidate will:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage three additional members of the finance team.
• Produce accurate financial and management reports that support data-driven decision-making for our leadership team. Provide insights into financial performance trends and deliver actionable feedback to optimize their financial strategies.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review income statement items to ensure accuracy. Proactively identify patterns and potential issues.
• Oversee and streamline multiple billing, management, and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology and best practices for optimal results.
• Support and collaborate with firm managers, CFOs, and other key stakeholders to address financial needs and other responsibilities as needed.
• Provide financials for all creditors and banks for credit renewals
• Review/monitor IOLTA account
• Assist in managing retirement/pension program (401k, profit sharing, cash balance)

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

Software Skills

• Minimum of 12 months experience using QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop.
• Experience with payroll tools and payroll processing software

Requires pushing and pulling file cabinet drawers. Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination. Work is performed in an office environment behind a desk where the noise level is usually low.
