Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role in North Bergen, NJ, for a Sales and Marketing Specialist. The role includes managing sales initiatives, providing exceptional customer service, training clients on product features, and developing marketing strategies to promote our solutions. The specialist will identify and pursue sales opportunities, build strong relationships with customers, and support overall commercial goals by collaborating with team members to expand market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and distributors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals
- Prepare and deliver product presentations, proposals, and pricing quotes
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
Account Management:
- Serve as the primary and/or secondary point of contact for key accounts
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Coordinate with operations/logistics to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution
Marketing & Promotion:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns targeting construction and building professionals
- Collaborate on digital marketing efforts (email campaigns, social media, website updates)
- Support trade shows, industry events, and product launches
- Develop promotional materials, product sheets, and sales tools
Product & Industry Expertise:
- Maintain strong knowledge of building materials
- Educate customers on product features, applications, and benefits
- Stay informed on construction trends, codes, and innovations
Qualifications:
- 3 to 7 years of marketing experience, preferably in wholesale building materials, construction, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Proven track record of driving lead generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth including but not limited to brand awareness.
- Experience working closely with sales teams to align campaigns with pipeline and revenue targets.
- Background in marketing to contractors, builders, architects, or trade professionals strongly preferred.
