What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at CLAD Industries?
1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team in Macedon, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating the CNC mill, drills, tapping and other operations to produce machined parts. As a CNC Programmer/Machinist, you will work collaboratively with the Engineering, Quality Control, and Production teams to ensure that all parts requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Review 3D CAD design prints and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency
- Plan stock and tooling for running/future work orders
- Perform and create mill set-ups
- Fabricate required tooling and fixtures
- Perform preventive maintenance activities
- Perform minor engineering changes
- Train associates in the proper care and use of machines and tooling
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience as a qualified machinist
- Strong math and computer skills
- Must be detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively
- Able to read 2-D and 3-D drawings
- General knowledge of how to operate 3-D software
- 2 years of experience using MasterCam
