We are seeking individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the water industry - specifically in water treatment - to join our skilled team for two full-time, temporary assignments for 4 to 6 months. Assignment starts Monday, June 1, 2026
Seasonal Worker - Water Treatment
This position will assist our Water Resources team to learn and perform a variety of functions that pertain to the operation of our 30 MGD water treatment plant including:
- Monitoring operating conditions using SCADA systems,
- Collecting and testing water samples,
- Recording operational data for regulatory reporting
- Tasks to inspect, clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds and other plant areas
- Plant, pump station ground maintenance including general facility cleaning, pressure washing and painting
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid Oregon driver license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to perform daily, repetitive and very demanding physical tasks, lift up to 50 lbs. and also in adverse weather conditions
- Manual dexterity and strength to use a variety of hand tools and equipment
- Preference for applicants enrolled in a water treatment or water distribution degree program
