Inventory Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Track material usage and identify trends to optimize inventory levels
- Ensure proper inventory transactions
Purchasing Responsibilities
- Source and procure raw materials (resin, packaging, etc.) and indirect supplies
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Issue purchase orders and track open order to ensure on-time deliveries
Production Scheduling Responsibilities
- Create and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders/forecasts
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and the quality team to ensure schedule adherence
- Adjust schedules as needed based on machine capacity, labor availability, and material supply
- Monitor production performance and communicate changes proactively
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in inventory, purchasing, and production scheduling (manufacturing required; plastics experience is a plus)
- Successful background in resolving customer issues relating to sales, production, quality, etc.
- Demonstrates the ability to make sound business decisions based on past occurrences and feedback from key team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Have advanced working knowledge of computer and touch screen operation
- Knowledge of resins, extrusion blow molding, or injection/stretch blow molding processes is a plus
